redevelopment of the existing community park. With close coordination we ensured we could address the City’s needs while staying within the construction budget. The project ultimately included five vertical structures, including a Community Center and Therapeutic Pool buildings, a multi-use pool, a multi-purpose field, basketball, tennis, bocce, and pickleball courts, children’s playgrounds, outdoor pavilions, walking paths, increased parking facilities, site lighting, and a retaining wall. As there was no space for on-site storage, an underground stormwater management system (the largest in Florida) was required and installed below the multi-use field and the parking areas.
The park is located in a dense residential neighborhood, so our team maintained constant coordination to limit impacts on the adjacent property owners. Bentley was involved in every aspect of design, from the preliminary planning and schematic design through the final punch list and project acceptance.
