Bentley’s scope for this project includes providing comprehensive architectural and engineering design for the reconstruction of the existing northbound and southbound I-75 rest areas in Sumter County. The purpose of the project is to provide adequate facilities for the projected traffic volume in the year 2030. This includes reconstruction of the existing buildings to meet current standards and incorporation of additional parking for both passenger vehicles and WB62FL and WB 67D as required in the FDOT Facilities Design Manual.

The northbound rest area has 104 regular car parking spaces, five accessible car parking spaces, 72 regular truck parking spaces, and four accessible truck parking spaces. The southbound rest area has 104 regular car parking spaces, five accessible car parking spaces, 71 regular truck parking spaces, and four accessible truck parking spaces.
