Description: Bentley was the architect and engineer of record for a complete campus of nine buildings totaling 220,000 SF including office, storage, warehouse, training facilities, and associated sitework. Bentley’s scope for this project included site utilities design and preparation of all utilities plans, specifications, estimates, calculations and supporting documents, including design of all potable and reuse water, gravity sewer collection system, duplex lift station and force main along Main Street.

Control Center Building 8: Control Center – 21,892 SF. The Control Center is the most highly reliable facility on campus, hardened for hurricane and tornado resistance. It houses offices, technical shops, and a 24/7/365 dispatch and control center with an ergonomic and immersive HUD projection system to manage the utility, including generation, transmission and distribution of the electrical grid in and around the City. The building also houses a mirror IT and computing site for the utility and has redundant electrical and HVAC systems for mission critical aspects of the computing system.
