Architect

Bentley Group, Inc. is a full service, multi-discipline firm searching for a Licensed Project Architect with 5-10 years experience of post registration experience to join our team. This position will assist in design and production activities in our Architectural department at our office located in Longwood, FL. 

Candidates should have experience preferably in the design and development of contract documents for commercial projects within both the public and private sectors. Experience with renovation and alteration projects would be a plus. Architectural License/Registration is required.

Applicants should have substantial experience in completed retail projects, municipal projects, client management skills, and leadership skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to work with corporate clients, be capable of managing production of multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrated attention to detail, be a team player, and the ability to develop plans. Good communication skills, especially the ability to produce written documentation and participate in verbal presentations, are also desirable.

Requirements:

  • Licensed/Registered Architect
  • Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Microstation/Open Roads Designer
  • US Work Authorization

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare schematic design, design development and construction document drawings
  • Coordinate construction documents content with construction project manager
  • Produce architectural working drawings including all details and related project documents for architectural projects
  • Prepare and review full architectural construction documents, drawings and specifications
  • Administer construction of building projects
  • Maintain project architectural design notebook
  • Manage project team in preparing design and construction documents
  • Coordinate shop drawings during construction administration
  • Serve the construction industry
  • Review construction drawings and maintain development design standards
  • Check architectural design and calculations
  • Perform construction administration tasks for projects
  • Assist a project team in the development of architectural design and the preparation of construction documents including drawings and specifications
  • Assist construction and project managers
  • Coordinate the project and produce construction documents
